Directions:

A great time to begin perineal massage is around or after 34 weeks. It’s good to try massaging your perineum 2-3 times a week for a few minutes each time.

It’s best to massage the perineum after a shower as the blood vessels in the area are already dilated, making your perineum more stretchy and more comfy to massage. The first few massages may feel a bit uncomfortable, but this should improve after a few massages.
