Apricot Kernel – a commonly used oil for good reason

Apricot kernel oil is derived from the seeds of apricots (Prunus armeniaca).

It is a light, mild oil that is commonly used in skincare products.

Apricot kernel oil has anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-septic, antioxidant and revitilising properties for the skin. It works to moisturise dry, sensitive skin and smooth out blemishes, wrinkles, fine lines and other symptoms typical of mature skin.

Apricot kernel oil is of thin consistency allowing it to absorb quickly into the layers of the skin, leaving it looking and feeling smooth and soft.

Moisturising

Apricot kernel oil is easily absorbed by the skin, making it an effective moisturizer. It helps to hydrate and nourish the skin, leaving it soft, smooth, and supple. It is suitable for all skin types, including dry and sensitive skin.

Anti-inflammatory

Apricot kernel oil has anti-inflammatory properties that can help soothe and calm irritated skin. It may be beneficial for conditions like eczema, dermatitis, and rosacea.

Skin Softening

Apricot kernel oil contains oleic acid and linoleic acid, which help to soften and smooth the skin. It can help improve the texture and appearance of rough or dry skin.

Anti-aging

Apricot kernel oil is rich in antioxidants, such as vitamins A and E, which can help protect the skin from free radicals and environmental damage. These antioxidants may help reduce the signs of aging, such as wrinkles and fine lines.
